The grant allowed us to engage local seniors in four writing workshops and produce their own collection of work entitled Best Beloved: Memories of Animals and Places which was read and shared at Kiplng Day at The Rottingdean Public Library on June 27th, 2015.
Jackie Wills is a poet, prose writer and editor. She has been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Surrey and Sussex universities, a visiting lecturer at Goldsmith's University and is an associate lecturer in creative writing for the Open University. In 1995 she was shortlisted for the TS Eliot prize and Mslexia magazine named her one of the 10 new woman poets of the decade in 2004. Jackie has four collections of poetry with Arc Publications, The Powder Tower, Fever Tree, Commandments and Woman's Head as Jug.
