in 2015 The Kipling Festival took place June 25 to July 7th
Notable Milestones to mark the 150th anniversary were:
Poets Annie Freud and Daljit Nagra conducted a full day writing workshop
and give readings from both favourite Kipling and their own works on June 26th at the
newly renovated Hillside Barn.
The Festival, funded by Big Lottery's Awards for All brought Brighton poet Jackie Wills into local seniors' residences to create their own poetry "Inspired by Kipling." A booklet of their work was read during Kipling Society Day at The Grange on June 27th.
A new play about Kipling and his sister Trix, The Fever Trees, by Christine Foster, had its world premiere during the Festival on July 1st, 4th and 5th at the Rottingdean Village Hall.
